Tribells is a popular fish & chip shop with takeaway or eat in available. It's popularity is mainly due to lack of competition in the town centre (a word of advice - ask a local to point you in the direction of Gardners Chippy which is only a short distance away and much better). Llandudno has all sorts of by-laws prohibiting the sale of takeaway food so there aren't too many fish and chip shops to be found. The food is ok rather than great although because it gets busy it's often freshly prepared which helps.
ps a word of warning-if you do opt for takeaway beware of the gulls and stay under cover! -

When I was a child I used to visit Llandudno and my parents would take me to either Enoch's in Llandudno Junction or to Tribells. I didn't like the food in either place.
Flash forward nearly 3 decades, and I decided to give Tribells another chance. I shouldn't have bothered. -

Went to try the fish and chips with family today the fish was very nice and thick and also quite long.
But and it's a big but the prices are way too high it's a chippy at the end of the day the chips had loads of black bits (eyes) as us old timers call them and they were very greasy.
I found it quite funny that when you pay your bill you have to pay someone that looks like they are in a amusements arcade change type tardis with cameras watching what money is taken there is obviously no trust with there staff. Would I go again ?
For the fish yes everything else no thank you! -

We have visited the Tribells restaurant for years and have taken friends and family. last saturday we took our grankids for lunch and im sorry to say that the haddock we had was just awful. we left it it was so bad it was frozen fish you could tell as it was hard in the middle and tasteless. So i must say here that we will not be back and we will tell friends and family too as its just not on charging people for such poor quality food.

Awful, the chips had grit in them! The fish was 99% batter and the mushy peas were not mushy. Nice looking place with nice staff, shame its so awful you'll end up complaining.
